Year End Reflections

Reflecting on my photography projects this year, I would have to say that one of my most memorable projects was the cover photos for Missouri Athletic Club's Cherry Diamond magazine. I particularly enjoyed working closely with Amy Freeman, MAC's Content Marketing Manager, to produce the cover images shown below.

Telling meaningful stories with photography is satisfying.  The creative process involves vision, staging, direction, and production - that means a lot of thought, skill, and creativity goes into each image.  Check out the final covers below:

The Suite - at the Missouri Athletic Club

This week I was shooting at the Missouri Athletic Club located in downtown St. Louis.  They had recently updated their hotel rooms and wanted some newer photos to showcase the rooms.

We started with one of the suites.   We took the initial image to see what we were working with.

Thanks to Amy Freeman (MAC's Content Marketing Manager) we used our muscles to move the furniture a bit.  Then we added some styling touches and lit the scene.

And then voila - the final scene.  I think I'd like to spend a few days here.  How about you?

Luxury Home Photography In Chesterfield, Missouri

I recently was contacted by Warren Popp of Heritage Properties Realty to photograph a luxury home in Chesterfield.  http://www.1bonhommegrovecourt.com/

It was a pleasure photographing this lovely home with many beautiful spaces indoors and out.  The homeowners are lovely people and helped by their willingness to move items and stage as we went from room to room.

Recent Print Job for a Private St. Louis Club

I had the pleasure to recently shoot a new club house renovation for a private club's dining area and new bar addition.

The interior design for the bar is certainly manly, warm, and makes you want to sit and enjoy a few drinks.  This job was helped by shooting tethered so I could review the shots with my client as we proceeded.

We also shot a cover photo for their June 2016 magazine.

Home with Character and Lots of Space!

I had fun getting to go through this house in Benton Park.  Lots of surprise features like the architectural beams on many of the ceilings and really cool exposed brick walls.  From some of the windows you have a view of the Lemp Brewery off in the distance.

And if you have a wine collection there's a perfect wine cellar in the basement that reminded me of Hermanhof.

Sometimes names really fit and in this case the street name - Spring Glen - is a match for this fantastic lot.  The backyard could be your own oasis.

Spring Photo Shoot

I recently had the opportunity to shoot a lovely home that's FSBO.  The home is a gem on the outside and inside.   A lot of attention to detail was put into the house.  The walls are in perfect condition and the crown molding and baseboards are in beautiful condition.

More Real Estate Photography

I loved this Old House on Pernod.  There were so many rooms with surprise stained glass windows.  Take a peek at the storks below.  The exterior brick on this house is beautiful and the stone work on the fireplace beautiful!

Here we have new construction on Linn.  The house has a charming and interesting front exterior.  Lots of windows means you'll have nice light throughout the home.  The kitchen is U-shaped with tons of storage space.

Cute House! St. Augusta Lane coming soon under Hayley Tomazik/J.F. Meyer Realty

Driving up to this house you'll be impressed with all the meticulously kept homes on the street.  The house has great hardwood floors and is painted in a neutral color throughout that really adds to the spacious feel of a smaller home.  I was in love with the front door - these days where do you get a door like that?  Great yard!  There's an awesome master bedroom with its own bath too.   I'd say this home is move in ready.
